Job Description

We're hiring a Drill Operator with horizontal directional drill experience to install underground fiber-optic cable and conduit. The person must be able to independently operate a Vermeer or Ditch Witch directional drill safely and efficiently. Pleasant Prairie, WI What You'll Do Use directional drilling to install duct and fiber-optic cable Assist with underground fiber installations Operate excavators, backhoes, cable-pulling, and cable-blowing equipment Complete drilling logs and required job paperwork Inspect trucks and equipment before use Drive company trucks and equipment to job sites Maintain a clean, organized job site and equipment What We're Looking For 2 years of directional drilling experience Hands-on ability to operate a Vermeer and/or Ditch Witch directional drill Experience installing underground duct and fiber Ability to read construction prints, maps, and plans DOT medical card and acceptable driving record Class A CDL with tanker endorsement is highly preferred Experience with excavators, backhoes, trenchers, loaders, and air compressors Willingness to travel, work outdoors, and perform on-call duties Ability to lift up to 75 pounds Broadstaff, LLC., provides equal employment opportunities to all qualified individuals without regard to race, color, religion, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, pregnancy, age, national origin, physical or mental disability, military or veteran status, genetic information, or any other protected classification protected by federal, state or local laws.
