In this role, you will be responsible for applying finishing touches to drywall surfaces, ensuring smooth, seamless walls and ceilings that meet high-quality standards. Your expertise will contribute to creating polished interiors on a variety of construction projects, from commercial buildings to residential remodels. Duties Apply joint compound, tape, and other finishing materials to drywall surfaces, creating smooth and even finishes Sand and smooth drywall surfaces to prepare for painting or further finishing work Install corner beads, trims, and moldings to enhance wall durability and aesthetics Read blueprints, schematics, and detailed instructions to accurately execute finishing tasks Collaborate with carpenters, plasterers, and other trades to ensure seamless integration of drywall with framing, plumbing, and electrical systems Perform repairs on water damage or mold-affected drywall surfaces as part of restoration projects Use hand tools and power equipment such as sanders, trowels, and sprayers efficiently and safely Qualifications Proven experience in drywall finishing or related construction roles with site experience on various projects Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings relevant to drywall installation and finishing Skilled in plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, and metal stud framing Familiarity with construction estimating processes and fixture installation techniques Experience with restoration industry standards including water damage remediation and mold remediation procedures Ability to perform drywall hanging, taping, sanding, painting (including airless paint spraying), tile laying, flooring installation, door hanging, and masonry work as needed Handyman experience is a plus for versatile project support We value candidates who bring enthusiasm for construction craftsmanship combined with a commitment to safety and quality.
