In this role, you will be responsible for applying drywall compound, taping, finishing, and texturing walls and ceilings to achieve smooth, professional surfaces. Your expertise will help bring construction projects to completion with precision and quality, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times. Duties Apply drywall mud (joint compound) accurately using hand tools and power tools to create seamless wall surfaces. Tape joints between drywall panels, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal visible seams. Finish drywall surfaces by sanding, texturing, and smoothing to prepare for painting or further finishing work. Repair damaged drywall or plaster surfaces efficiently, restoring them to original condition. Interpret construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to determine proper installation procedures. Install metal stud framing, trim carpentry elements, and perform related tasks such as door hanging and fixture installation. Follow safety protocols diligently while operating hand tools, power tools, and working on construction sites to prevent accidents. Qualifications Proven experience in drywall installation, taping, mudding, and texturing within a construction environment. Strong knowledge of construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and interpreting technical drawings. Familiarity with construction estimating and understanding project scope requirements. Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively on various projects. Knowledge of construction workplace safety regulations and adherence to safety protocols at all times. Experience with related skills such as metal stud framing, plastering, caulking, flooring installation, tile laying, masonry, restoration industry practices including water damage restoration and mold remediation is a plus. Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship in drywall taping and finishing tasks. Construction site experience with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards.
