Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Drywall Finisher / Painter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for finishing drywall surfaces and applying high-quality paint finishes across residential, commercial, and renovation projects. Your expertise will ensure smooth, durable, and visually appealing walls and ceilings that meet project specifications and safety standards. Duties Finish drywall surfaces by taping, mudding, sanding, and smoothing to achieve a flawless finish ready for painting or texturing Prepare construction surfaces through cleaning, sanding, caulking, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion Apply paint using brushes, rollers, spray guns (including conventional and construction spray painting techniques), ensuring even coverage and color consistency Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and project specifications to accurately execute painting and finishing tasks Use hand tools and power tools safely to perform repairs, fixture installations, or surface modifications as needed during renovation or remodeling projects Follow safety regulations diligently by wearing respiratory protection and adhering to safety protocols on construction sites Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools, disposing of debris properly, and ensuring work areas are safe for team members and clients Skills Extensive experience with drywall finishing techniques including taping, mudding, sanding, and texturing Proficiency in residential and commercial painting methods such as brush painting, roller painting, hand tools use, and spray applications (including construction spray painting) Strong understanding of color theory for accurate visual color comparison and matching Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and construction plans accurately Knowledge of construction estimating processes related to surface preparation and finishing tasks Skilled in the use of ladders, scaffolding, hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers, and other relevant equipment safely and effectively Familiarity with safety regulations including respiratory protection standards and safety protocol adherence on active job sites Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to coating coverage, and project planning Experience in plastering, caulking, fixture installation, renovation projects, or handyman work is a plus for versatility in job responsibilities Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship in all aspects of drywall finishing and painting Join our team if you're passionate about transforming spaces with precision craftsmanship!
