We're growing our team and looking for a skilled Drywall Technician to help us deliver the same standard of craftsmanship our customers count on, across residential and commercial projects. About the Role The Drywall Technician is integral to the successful completion of projects ranging from residential homes to commercial buildings. You'll perform a variety of tasks — including drywall installation, plastering, repair, and finishing — to ensure surfaces are durable and visually appealing. Strong attention to detail, industry best practices, quality results delivered on time, and a safe, clean job site are paramount. Responsibilities & Duties Install drywall and plaster on interior walls and ceilings Measure and mark cutting lines professionally for precision Cut drywall and plaster to fit around outlets, windows, and doors Apply tape and joint compound to seams Sand dry surfaces to achieve a smooth finish, plus orange peel texturing as needed Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment with tools and materials Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes Collaborate clearly and kindly with customers and staff via professional communication Qualifications & Skills 5+ years of experience in drywall and plaster installation, finishing, or related work Knowledge of drywall materials, tools, and finishing techniques, including plaster and stucco finishes Ability to measure accurately and interpret basic construction drawings Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver drywall sheets and construction materials Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Knowledge of workplace safety practices, including local code Must be able to read and understand safety instructions, communicate with customers, and coordinate with team members in English High school diploma or equivalent preferred Benefits Affordable Medical, Dental, and Vision plans 401(k) with company match Short- and Long-Term Disability plans Accident & Critical Illness Insurance available Company-paid Life Insurance Paid Holidays Paid Vacation and Sick Time Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Ongoing training and development opportunities Career growth and advancement opportunities Aztec Plumbing & Drains is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).
