Job Description
Job Overview We are currently accepting applications to fill an in house position for metal framing, drywall, painting and acoustical ceiling installation. Applicant must be versatile in being able to do multiple trades within the crew. Applicant must be a self starter and have a strong work ethic. The work will almost entirely consist of commercial work and is located to the Jacksonville and Orlando areas. This would be a full time position with 40 plus hours per week. Must have your drivers license and transportation. Any applicant must be legal to work in the US and pass a government background check, Minimum of 5 years experience within the listed fields with references and be a professional and drug free. Any applicant must be able to perform all duties listed on the posting. This is a long term position a qualified person. If interested, please respond with a resume, name and phone number and we will then set up an interview. Responsibilities Commercial metal framing and layout. Installation and finishing of drywall - Level 4 to Level 5 finishing will be required. Read blueprints and technical drawings to interpret project specifications accurately. Perform demo work of walls and existing millwork. Installation of wood blocking and batt insulation. Application of paint coatings. Installation of commercial door frames, slab and hardware. Installation of acoustical ceiling grid and tiles. Conduct heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely while maintaining proper ergonomics. Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to ensure timely completion of tasks aligned with construction schedules. Requirements Proven experience in metal framing, drywall installation and acoustical ceiling installation, or related construction fields. Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and interpreting technical drawings. Skilled in using hand tools and power tools essential for framing and finishing work. Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently while maintaining safety standards. Basic math skills including measurements, calculations for framing dimensions, and understanding construction plans.
