You are required to have your own basic painter's tools, your own vehicle and painter's whites to wear to work, they can be shorts or pants. You will be doing various projects working in a commercial setting painting in hospitals, schools and other commercial buildings, as well as painting new homes in custom residential construction, and repainting various types of projects. There are times we do repainting where the people are in residence so it's important to maintain a professional and courteous demeanor, although we don't expect communication with the homeowner unless it's the job lead, but you must have basic English as instructions will be given in English. We do have Spanish speakers and Ukrainian speakers who work for us so we are happy to work with anyone still learning English, but you must have basic communication skills in English. When working in the hospitals or school there are guidelines for how everything is done so it is important that you can understand and follow instructions. Staying on the task assigned and being able to complete it is what we expect from everyone, we don't want people one their phones or distracting their coworkers. Safety and quality, orderly work are our top priorities at all times. The schools have conduct requirements beyond that of a typical construction site so anyone with criminal convictions any sex crimes or domestic violence crimes are disqualified from employment. This is somewhat of a physically demanding job at times as it is necessary to move and carry 5-gallon buckets, ladders and other large pieces of equipment, as well as climbing up and down ladders.
