Job Description

Title:

Maintenance Associate, Full-time (40 hrs./wk.)

Reports to: Business Manager

Location:

Church of Saint Patrick | Sarasota, FL

Classification:

Hourly/ Non-exempt Overview

The Church of St. Patrick is seeking a Maintenance Associate who will be responsible for planning and managing all aspects of maintenance for parish buildings and property. Job Responsibilities Develops schedules for building maintenance, cleaning, sanitation, ordering of supplies and general upkeep of parish property.

Performs routine paint, electrical, lighting, plumbing, carpentry repairs, etc. along with preventative maintenance.

Provides general oversight of all contracts and activities pertaining to building and grounds operations including routine maintenance, new construction, renovation, remodeling, and any special services.

Responsible for set-up and break-down of tables and chairs for events and meetings.

Responds to emergency calls 24 hours a day.

Performs recording keeping activities.

Any other duties or special projects as assigned. Prior maintenance experience required.

High School diploma or equivalent.

Plumbing or electric license desired.

Self-motivated individual able to work independently.

Ability to communicate clearly with vendors, staff, and parishioners.

Working knowledge of building equipment.

Understanding of safety protocols and disposal of hazardous waste items.

Ability to life up to 50 lbs.

Ability to climb, bend, kneel, stretch, reach continuously throughout day.

Ability to work indoors and outdoors.

Must secure Aerial Lift Certification within 30-days of hire.

Must pass a post offer DOV assigned physical exam.
