Role:

We are seeking a Drywall Repair Technician to repair damaged walls and ceilings and prepare surfaces for painting. You will work with the painting and renovation team to deliver smooth finishes while protecting customers' property and keeping work areas clean. This role is suited to someone with hands-on drywall repair experience, attention to detail, and a professional approach to working in occupied homes and commercial spaces.

Responsibilities:

Inspect damaged drywall and confirm the required scope of repair. Patch holes, cracks, damaged corners, and other surface defects. Remove and replace damaged drywall sections when required. Tape joints and apply joint compound using appropriate techniques. Sand and finish repaired areas to the standard required for the agreed paint finish. Match existing surface texture where practical and within your experience. Install or repair corner bead and other finishing components. Protect floors, furniture, fixtures, and adjacent surfaces before starting work. Use approved dust-control methods and maintain a clean, organized work area. Identify and report moisture, movement, or other underlying problems before covering damaged areas. Coordinate drying times and repair completion with the painting team. Record completed work, materials used, and any additional issues requiring approval. Maintain tools and follow applicable safety procedures, including safe ladder use and handling of repair materials. Complete final checks and address agreed touch-ups before the job is closed.

Qualifications:

Previous professional experience in drywall repair and finishing. Ability to patch, tape, apply joint compound, sand, and prepare surfaces for paint. Experience working on both walls and ceilings. Ability to select appropriate materials and follow manufacturer instructions. Strong attention to detail and pride in clean workmanship. Ability to follow work orders and communicate when the scope changes. Professional communication skills when working with customers and teammates. Reliable transportation to assigned work locations. Ability to perform essential job duties safely, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Pay:

$25.00 - $28.00 per hour
