In this role, you will be responsible for applying finishing techniques to drywall surfaces and executing high-quality painting work to enhance the aesthetic and durability of interior and exterior spaces. Your expertise will contribute to the successful completion of remodeling, restoration, and new construction projects in Hospitals. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing your skills in drywall installation, finishing, painting, and related trades to deliver exceptional results. Duties Perform Level 4 and Level 5 drywall finishing to achieve smooth, paint-ready surfaces. Finish drywall surfaces by wet sanding, taping, mudding, and smoothing to achieve a flawless finish aligned with project specifications. Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, patching holes, and applying primer as needed. Apply full skim coats when required for Level 5 finishes. Perform drywall patches ranging from small repairs to larger wall and ceiling replacements. Match existing wall and ceiling textures. Install and finish corner bead, control joints, and other drywall accessories. Perform above-ceiling and rated-wall drywall repairs when required. Measure, cut, and install gypsum board accurately. Execute precise painting tasks using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment to meet quality standards and project deadlines. Utilize hand tools and power tools for drywall installation, trim carpentry, fixture installation, and surface preparation. Protect surrounding floors, walls, equipment, furniture, and occupied spaces before beginning work. Set up and maintain dust containment and clean work areas, particularly when working in healthcare or occupied facilities. Maintain a professional appearance and communicate appropriately with customers, facility staff, and other trades. Follow company safety procedures and project-specific requirements. Complete assigned work efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship. Read blueprints and schematics to accurately interpret project requirements and ensure proper application of finishes. Perform additional tasks such as caulking, stucco application, flooring installation, tile laying, masonry work, or fabrication as required on-site. Collaborate with construction management teams to ensure adherence to safety protocols, schematics, and project timelines while maintaining quality standards. Qualifications Proven experience in drywall finishing (Level 4 and 5), painting, or related building finishing trades within a construction environment. Strong knowledge of drywall installation techniques including framing carpentry, door hanging, and ceiling work. Familiarity with construction management software such as Bluebeam for digital documentation and project tracking. Skilled in using hand tools and power tools for drywall work, painting, caulking, stucco application, flooring installation, and fixture setup. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately for precise execution of tasks. Electrical experience or plumbing knowledge is a plus for integrated renovation projects involving electrical or plumbing work. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively on-site with diverse teams including carpenters, masons, roofers, welders, and inspectors.
