Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and energetic Painter to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces meticulously by cleaning, sanding, plastering, drywall repair, stucco application, and other surface treatments to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply paint, coatings, primers, stains, and sealers using brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless and conventional spray equipment), and other hand tools with precision. Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and color schemes to achieve the desired aesthetic outcome. Use ladders safely to access high or hard-to-reach areas while adhering to all safety regulations and protocols. Conduct site assessments to determine the appropriate materials and methods for each project, including renovation and remodeling tasks. Maintain a clean work environment by properly handling waste disposal of paints and chemicals in accordance with safety standards. Collaborate with team members on construction estimating, fixture installation, drywall finishing, plastering projects, and maintenance tasks as needed. Follow safety procedures diligently by utilizing respiratory protection equipment and adhering to all safety regulations on construction sites. Assist in the interpretation of technical drawings and blueprints for complex projects involving structural painting or industrial applications. Qualifications Proven experience in residential painting, commercial painting, industrial painting, or construction site painting is highly preferred. Proficiency in surface preparation techniques including construction painting surface preparation and drywall finishing. Strong knowledge of color theory to ensure accurate visual color matching and aesthetic consistency. Skilled in the use of hand tools such as brushes, rollers, scrapers, putty knives, as well as power tools for surface prep and fixture installation. Experience operating paint sprayers (including airless spray systems) and understanding of conventional spray painting methods. Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately for precise application work. Knowledge of safety regulations related to construction painting environments including respiratory protection protocols. Basic math skills for measuring surfaces and calculating material quantities efficiently. Familiarity with renovation projects involving plastering, stucco application, drywall installation or repair is a plus. Construction estimating experience is advantageous for project planning purposes.
