Job Title:
Electrical Helper Job Description This short-term role supports a 3-week electrical construction project by assisting licensed electricians with daily tasks on an active job site. The Electrical Helper contributes to safe and efficient project completion through hands-on support with wiring, material handling, site preparation, and cleanup. Responsibilities Assist electricians with day-to-day tasks on the job site, following directions closely and supporting safe and efficient project completion. Move, organize, and stage materials, tools, and equipment to ensure electricians have what they need at the work area. Prepare the site for electrical work, including setting up work areas, laying out materials, and helping with basic construction-related tasks. Support wiring activities such as pulling wire, routing cables, and handling basic installation tasks under the supervision of an electrician. Help with construction-related duties connected to electrical installation, ensuring work areas are clear and ready for the next phase. Perform site clean up throughout the day and at the end of shifts, including removing debris, sweeping, and maintaining a safe, orderly work environment. Follow all safety guidelines and instructions, using tools and equipment properly and reporting any hazards or issues promptly. Work collaboratively with electricians and other crew members, communicating clearly and contributing to a positive team environment. Essential Skills Previous electrical experience in a construction or installation environment. Ability to assist with wiring tasks, including pulling wire and handling basic electrical components under supervision. Familiarity with construction site practices, including site preparation, material handling, and general installation support. Capability to perform site clean up and maintain a safe and organized work area. Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, carry, and move materials throughout the workday. Ability to follow instructions accurately and work safely under the direction of electricians. Additional Skills & Qualifications Hands-on experience supporting electricians on active construction sites. Basic understanding of electrical tools, equipment, and materials. Strong work ethic and reliability, with a focus on completing tasks efficiently and safely. Willingness to perform a variety of tasks, from site prep to clean up, as project needs change. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Why Work Here? Work hours follow standard construction schedules as set by the project, and you will use common electrical and construction tools and equipment while following all site safety practices and requirements. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Reading, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $30.00/hr.
