In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various commercial and industrial settings. Your expertise will ensure that electrical infrastructure operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all relevant codes and standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from new construction to renovation, utilizing your comprehensive electrical knowledge and hands-on skills to deliver top-quality results. Responsibilities Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments, ensuring adherence to all safety procedures and local electrical codes. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute wiring and system layouts. Perform high-voltage electrical wiring and work with low-voltage systems, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automation components. Conduct electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters, multimeters, and other testing equipment to identify faults or inefficiencies within complex systems. Maintain compliance with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) standards during all installation and repair activities. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for wiring, conduit bending, mounting fixtures, and other electrical tasks. Collaborate with construction teams during new builds or renovations to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems within structural frameworks like frame carpentry. Skills Proven experience as an industrial or commercial electrician with a strong understanding of industrial electrical systems and construction site procedures. Extensive knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC standards, and local electrical codes to ensure code-compliant work. Skilled in troubleshooting electrical systems using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and circuit testers; capable of diagnosing complex issues efficiently. Ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints accurately for precise installation and repairs. Experience working with high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage electrical wiring in industrial settings; familiarity with high-voltage safety protocols is essential. Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems including automation controls like programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Knowledge of electrical safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment at all times. Capable of performing renovation projects involving electrical upgrades or modifications within existing structures. Handyman skills such as frame carpentry or general construction experience are a plus for versatile project support.
