Responsibilities Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments, ensuring adherence to local electrical codes and NFPA 70 standards. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring and system layouts. Diagnose electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters; identify root causes of system failures or inefficiencies. Perform high-voltage electrical wiring tasks safely on industrial equipment and power distribution systems. Conduct routine maintenance on electrical systems, including low voltage controls, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and other automation components. Follow all electrical safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and others on construction sites or renovation projects. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for wiring, conduit installation, panel setup, and troubleshooting activities. Qualifications Proven experience as an industrial electrician or commercial electrician with a strong understanding of industrial electrical systems. Knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) compliance requirements and local electrical codes. Skilled in reading electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately. Hands-on experience with electrical diagnostics equipment such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters. Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical systems efficiently in fast-paced environments. Experience working with high-voltage wiring and industrial electrical systems; construction site experience is highly desirable. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, and automation controls. Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures to prevent accidents during installation or repairs. Capable of performing renovation work that involves electrical upgrades or modifications within existing structures.
