- supporting the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) at Pituffik SB, Greenland
- . Serco will support USACE in renovating the Power Building (J-Plant) and providing it with High Altitude Electro Magnetic Pulse (HEMP) protective measures. The
- General Construction Electrician's
- primary role is to provide direct on-site electrical support to building construction and fabrication teams, such as installing and removing temporary power hardware, running conduit and cable for fabrication equipment, tracing cables to identify origin and end points, and isolating and applying LOTO to electrical circuits for construction personnel safety.
- This is a year-round position; current rotation is 8-10 weeks on and 3-4 weeks away from the site.
- In this role, you will:
- + Work a 10hr shift on an active construction site.
- To be successful in this role, you will have:
- + •The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance•+ •U.
- + A High School Diploma/GED + Hold an electrical license of journeyman level + or a minimum of 6 years of experience in construction/construction related projects in lieu of electrical license of journeyman level + A minimum of 4 years of experience in construction/construction related projects + Be capable of interpreting installation and construction drawings + Effective organizational, multi-tasking, analytical and confidentiality skills + Working knowledge of MS Office applications + Excellent customer service, communication, conflict resolution, presentation, and construction documentation comprehension skills + Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Additional desired experience, skills, certifications:
- + OSHA 10, 30, or 40 Certification + OSHA 30 Qualified + MWEP Training + Forklift Training + A basic understanding of
EM 385-1-1
+ Previous experience working at Pituffik Space Base or other overseas remote locations + Familiarity with HEMP hardening or similar projects + Class 5 & 7 forklift certification + Scissor lift & aerial boom certificate + Rigger training certificate + Confined space training certificate + CPR and first aid training certificate + An Associate degree in a construction related or technical field from an accredited institution- Company Overview
