About the Role The Electrician installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs industrial electrical systems and manufacturing equipment. This role helps minimize downtime and ensures equipment operates safely and reliably. Key Responsibilities:
Electrical Installation & Maintenance Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, circuits, control panels, motors, lighting, and related components for food production equipment, including conveyors, mixers, ovens, refrigeration units, and auxiliary equipment. Install and service electrical distribution and safety components, including switches, circuit breakers, disconnects, panels, wiring, and electrical networks. Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on manufacturing and auxiliary plant equipment as required. Troubleshooting & Industrial Controls Diagnose and resolve electrical faults in machinery, circuits, controls, and plant systems to minimize downtime and restore normal operations. Troubleshoot and repair three-phase industrial electrical equipment, servo motors and controls, stepper motors, motor starters, drives, sensors, switches, and related control devices. Work with PLC-controlled equipment; monitor inputs and outputs, identify faults, and support troubleshooting of PLC-based industrial control systems. Preventive Maintenance & Equipment Reliability Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, repairs, and equipment upgrades to improve reliability, extend equipment life, and prevent failures. Conduct pre-operational inspections and verify that equipment is safe, functional, and ready for production. Safety, Compliance & Food Manufacturing Standards Follow applicable electrical safety codes and procedures, including proper grounding, lockout/tagout (LOTO) practices, OSHA requirements, and food safety standards. Ensure electrical work and maintenance activities are performed in a manner that protects employees, equipment, and food products from safety or contamination risks. Production Support, Collaboration & Documentation Collaborate with mechanical maintenance and production teams to resolve equipment issues while minimizing disruption to manufacturing operations. Provide electrical maintenance support during production, equipment changeovers, startups, and equipment-related downtime as required. Maintain accurate records of inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and completed work in accordance with company and industry requirements.
Qualifications Required:
Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, motors, controls, and electrical distribution. Experience troubleshooting three-phase electrical systems and industrial controls. Familiarity with PLC-controlled equipment. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to safely work around industrial equipment and machinery.
Preferred:
Electrical and mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. Food manufacturing experience.
Pay:
$30.00 - $45.00 per hour
