Job Description

Purpose of Position The Electro-Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems, controls, and equipment in a beverage manufacturing facility. This role ensures production equipment operates efficiently and safely, while minimizing downtime. Core Competencies The ideal Electrician demonstrates strong technical expertise in industrial electrical systems, including troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining motors, control panels, PLCs, VFDs, and automated production equipment. Success in this role requires excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to prioritize work orders, and the judgment to address urgent production issues quickly. Job Functions & Responsibilities Perform routine preventive maintenance on electrical systems, machinery, and production equipment to prevent breakdowns. Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues in production equipment, control panels, motors, wiring, and robotic systems. Install, modify, and commission new electrical equipment, panels, and systems according to specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Diagnose and resolve electrical faults using testing and diagnostic tools. Program and maintain Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) for optimal equipment performance. Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics to guide maintenance and installation work. Work safely with both high-voltage and low-voltage electrical systems. Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment performance. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used in logs or CMMS systems. Ensure compliance with electrical and safety codes, company policies, and regulatory requirements, including OSHA standards and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures. Assist in upgrading and modifying existing electrical and robotic systems to improve efficiency, reliability, and safety. Participate in safety audits and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification, diploma, or apprenticeship in Electrical Technology or related field preferred. Minimum 2+ years of experience as an electrical technician in an industrial or manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, wiring, control circuits, and automation systems. Experience programming and troubleshooting Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs). Skilled in installing electrical panels and working with robotic systems. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics. Knowledge and experience working safely with both high- and low-voltage electrical systems. Familiarity with motors, drives, PLCs, and industrial automation is a plus. Proficient with electrical testing tools and diagnostic equipment. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Excellent communication skills and strict adherence to safety protocols. Requirements Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic instruments safely and effectively. Flexible schedule including shift work, overtime, weekend coverage, and on-call availability. Maintain own standard hand tools and equipment to perform assigned maintenance tasks. Working Conditions Work is performed in an industrial manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures. May require flexible hours including shift work, overtime, 6 days a week, and on-call availability.

1st: 7:00am to 3:30pm 2nd: 3:00pm to 11:30pm 3rd: 11:00 pm to 7:30am
