Job Title:
Maintenance Electrician Job Description We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician with the ability to read a volt meter and perform both single and three-phase motor replacements. The ideal candidate will have experience diagnosing and refurbishing pumps, as well as wiring and replacing three-phase motors. Experience in the food industry is advantageous but not required. Knowledge in VFD troubleshooting will be considered a plus. A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in an industrial capacity is essential. Responsibilities Conduct preventive maintenance, electrical troubleshooting, and repairs on motors and equipment. Maintain cleanliness in shop and production areas after repairs. Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) procedures as per guidelines. Proactively identify maintenance needs and promote a team approach to address them. Perform emergency and scheduled repairs of production equipment during both production and service periods. Prepare and set up machinery for scheduled production runs. Execute mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repairs of packaging and production machines. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service tasks. Comply with OSHA safety and health rules. Maintain professional working relationships with vendors. Participate in developing and maintaining plant safety awareness. Support company priorities by seeking improvements in safety, quality, waste reduction, and productivity. Represent the company and yourself professionally, demonstrating a sense of urgency during normal operations. Essential Skills Proficiency in preventive maintenance and electrical troubleshooting. Experience with motors, maintenance repair, and PLC troubleshooting. Ability to read volt meters and perform electrical repairs. Strong mechanical and schematic reading skills. Compliance with safety protocols and industry regulations. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in the food industry is a plus. VFD troubleshooting knowledge is advantageous. Electrical knowledge and troubleshooting capabilities. Why Work Here? Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
