An Electrician works on electrical systems in buildings. Installs electrical wiring and lighting in new construction, and repairs or upgrade wiring, outlets or other parts of older electrical systems. Checks safety and makes installations or repairs that are in compliance with local building codes. May also specialize in electrical work required in different manufacturing industries, electrical systems for cars, plane or boats, or electrical and lighting work in the film industry.

Essential Functions Pay Range:
$23.50 (Additional $1.00 per hour for hours worked between 7:00pm and 11:59pm. Additional $2.00 per hour for hours worked between 12:00am-4:59am). To provide electrical maintenance support for the company. Assist in providing electrical maintenance support, to include: Repairing electrical wiring and equipment Installing, connecting, and adjusting electrical wiring and equipment. Using electrical test equipment such as multi-meters, voltage testers, amp meters, etc. Using common electrical tools such as conduit benders (hand and hydraulic), wire cutter, wire pullers (hand and electrical), wire strippers, etc. Using common construction tools and equipment such as hand shovels, trenching tools, drill motors, sawzalls, rotary hammers, cordless drills, walk-behind and tractor trenchers, lifts, etc. Work from blueprints/schematics to perform maintenance/repair or install equipment. Assist training subordinate employees (i.e., Electrical Maintenance Mechanics, Class C). General cleaning and/or assisting other crews if required. Maintaining safety, housekeeping and sanitation and disease control requirements while performing job duties. Other duties assigned by management. Qualifications Must have a minimum of 3 years of training and/or experience. Must be able to work in a timely and efficient manner. Must have good interpersonal and communication skills. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Must be able to work from a ladder. Must have and maintain a California driver's license and an acceptable DMV record.
