LARGE MANUFACTURING PLANT IN HAYWARD CA IS LOOKING FOR STRONG ELECTRICAL MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN WITH A FOOD MANUFACTURING BACKGROUND. LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WITH STRONG BACKGROUND WITH PLC TROUBLESHOOTING, WIRING UP MOTORS, HYDRAULICS, PNEUMATICS, SAFETY, ETC. SHIFT

NO SHIFT DIFF JOB DESCRIPTION JOB DESCRIPTION 1.
Execute predictive, preventative, and breakdown maintenance procedures. Perform scheduled preventative and predictive maintenance on equipment. 2. Select, install, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, process, and support equipment and systems. 3. Support production by troubleshooting and repairing equipment (e.g., mechanical, electrical) failures. 4. Use gauges and test instruments to diagnose malfunctions and failures. 5. Fabricate and install new equipment for assigned projects. 6. Weld, repair, and fabricate parts and equipment. 7. Inspect plant equipment (compressors, pumps, etc.) on a daily basis to monitor health and functionality. 8. Conduct daily inspection of process and packaging systems. Inspects work to assure proper execution prior to startup. 9. Use computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for work orders and maintenance procedures. 10. Capture and maintain information on equipment deficiencies, and communicates information effectively with facilities engineer/or manager and co-workers. 11. Communicate and interact with entire maintenance team and larger site operations team to ensure smooth coordinated maintenance operations. 12. Assist in maintaining parts inventory and requisition of equipment, materials, and supplies. 13. Assist other maintenance or operations team members when required. 14. Maintain housekeeping standards and maintains shop cleanliness. 15. Implement all safe work practices and programs including, but not limited to those that support personnel safety, process safety, product safety, and environmental safety. 16. Provide Emergency assistance (off-hours) as required. 17. Participate as a member of the company's HAZMAT team. 18. Work with and/or direct outside contractors, as required/assigned. 19. Maintain a competitive knowledge base through participation in Industry professional associations, vendor training and continuing education. 20. Additional responsibilities as assigned or necessary. #IND1
