Conduct electrical diagnostics using tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters to identify issues quickly and efficiently. Perform electrical wiring tasks in accordance with NFPA 70 standards and local electrical codes to ensure safety and compliance. Utilize hand tools and power tools safely while performing installation or repair work on electrical systems. Troubleshoot complex electrical problems within industrial systems, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), to restore functionality swiftly. Collaborate with construction teams during new builds or renovations, ensuring seamless integration of electrical components into overall project plans. Requirements Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician with a strong background in industrial and commercial electrical systems. Valid journeyman electrician license or certification recognized by state or local authorities. Extensive knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC standards, and local electrical codes. Demonstrated ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately. Experience working with high-voltage wiring systems along with low-voltage control circuits. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and troubleshooting equipment. Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), relays, circuit breakers, and other industrial automation components. Strong understanding of safety procedures related to electrical work including lockout/tagout protocols and personal protective equipment (PPE). Construction site experience with a focus on renovation projects or new installations preferred.
