Job Description

Overview The Electrician installs, repairs, troubleshoots and performs preventive maintenance on, including but not limited to, indoor lighting systems, electrical systems and apparatus, main power distribution systems and panel boards, outdoor facility lighting, construction projects, kitchen equipment and HVAC systems. Responds to emergency power failures and emergency back-up systems. Monitors and tests various electrical systems. Responsibilities
  • Ensure that each guest receives outstanding service by creating a friendly environment and following Jackson Rancheria Guest Service Guidelines.
  • Installation of Electrical Distribution system from Primary to Secondary, to include wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as HVAC equipment, lighting panel boards, distribution panel boards, and lighting and HVAC controls.
  • Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables.
  • Tests malfunctioning machinery and discusses malfunction with other trades workers, such as HVAC Personnel to diagnose malfunction.
  • Replaces faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches, and motors, and positions sensing devices.
  • Able to read and understand drawings or building and electrical plans for layout and work to be performed.
  • Determines the appropriate materials and equipment need for completing projects and assignments.
  • Installation of equipment and fixtures such as motors, generators, switches, circuit breakers, and fuse boxes.
Qualifications Education and/or Experience Minimum High School level education. Previous work experience in the electrical field and a current California Certified General Electrician Journeyman Card.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Able to obtain & maintain a Jackson Rancheria Gaming License. Ca. Class C driver license required - Must be vehicle insurable through Jackson Rancheria's Agent. Current California Certified General Electrician Journeyman Card (must remain current for duration of employment) Pay range: $32.00- $41.60 per hour •
Shift Differential:
Non-Exempt employees will receive a $1.00 per hour shift differential for any hours worked between 10:00pm and 6:00am. This is not a smoke free workplace. Although we employ state-of-the-art air filtration systems, cigarette smoke is in the work environment.
