EA Family Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our Jackson office. EA is a nonprofit organization with offices throughout Northern California, committed to providing safe, nurturing homes for foster youth and supportive services for young adults transitioning from foster care to independent living. As a Social Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting children, youth, families, and caregivers through case management, advocacy, and collaborative service planning. The ideal candidate is passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of vulnerable youth and families and is committed to fostering safety, stability, permanency, and well-being. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive case management services to foster youth, young adults, resource families, and biological families. Conduct assessments and develop individualized service plans to support safety, permanency, and well-being. Maintain regular contact with youth, caregivers, and community partners to monitor progress and address emerging needs. Facilitate placement stability through ongoing support, advocacy, problem-solving, and crisis intervention. Coordinate services with schools, mental health providers, probation departments, county child welfare agencies, and other community resources. Recruit, train, support, and retain foster/resource families while ensuring compliance with agency and state regulations. Prepare and maintain accurate, timely case documentation, reports, and electronic records. Participate in Child and Family Team (CFT) meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve positive outcomes. Advocate for youth and families to ensure access to appropriate services, educational supports, healthcare, and community resources. Provide trauma-informed guidance and support to youth, caregivers, and families. Respond to after-hours emergencies and critical incidents as needed. Ensure compliance with agency policies, licensing standards, and all applicable state and federal regulations. Support young adults transitioning from foster care by assisting with housing, employment, education, life skills, and permanency planning. Contribute to a positive, mission-driven team environment focused on improving the lives of children, youth, and families. Qualifications Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field required. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with youth, families, caregivers, and community partners. Knowledge of trauma-informed care, child welfare systems, and community resources preferred. Commitment to serving foster youth and young adults with professionalism, empathy, and cultural humility. Requirements DOJ, FBI, and CAIC clearances required.
