Experienced Residential Electrician Caliber Contracting San Diego is looking for an experienced residential electrician to join our growing team. The right candidate should understand residential electrical systems and be comfortable performing work such as installing subpanels, performing main electrical panel upgrades, running new circuits, installing breakers, troubleshooting electrical problems, and wiring remodels and ADUs. Responsibilities Install residential electrical systems in accordance with applicable NEC requirements and local codes. Install and wire subpanels and electrical panels, including breakers, feeders, grounding and bonding. Independently perform main service and panel upgrades. Install new branch circuits for appliances, HVAC equipment, EV chargers, lighting, receptacles, and other residential loads. Perform electrical rough-in and finish work for ADUs, garage conversions, kitchens, bathrooms, and other residential remodels. Install receptacles, switches, lighting fixtures, breakers, disconnects, and other electrical equipment. Read and interpret electrical plans, diagrams, panel schedules, and basic construction drawings. Troubleshoot electrical problems using multimeters and other electrical testing equipment. Identify existing electrical conditions and determine appropriate methods for completing installations. Work independently on assigned tasks while communicating with the project lead when questions or unusual conditions arise. Coordinate effectively with other trades working on residential remodeling projects. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite. Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, inspectors, and other trades. What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who already understands the fundamentals of the electrical trade. A strong candidate should be able to: Understand how to properly install and wire a residential subpanel. Understand how to properly install and wire amain electrical panel or service upgrade. Properly size and install common residential branch circuits. Understand grounding and bonding requirements. Select and install appropriate breakers and conductors for common residential applications. Understand basic load calculations and panel schedules. Install conduit, cable, boxes, devices, and electrical equipment using good workmanship. Troubleshoot common residential electrical problems. Read electrical plans and follow written scopes of work. Recognize when a condition requires additional direction rather than guessing. Requirements Minimum 4 years of hands-on residential electrical experience Demonstrated experience installing electrical panels, subpanels, branch circuits, and residential electrical equipment. Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC). Experience with residential remodels, service upgrades, ADUs, or similar construction is strongly preferred. Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license. Must have basic electrical hand tools. Ability to safely use ladders, power tools, and electrical testing equipment. Ability to work independently and as part of a construction team. Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
