• Temporary, structured as a paid one-week trial followed by a three-month trial period Pay is hourly at your standard rate for most hours. A small number of projects are prevailing wage, paid at a higher hourly rate between $66.86-$134.17/hour depending on county. All-Electric California takes gas out of homes and multifamily buildings and puts in heat pumps, heat pump water heaters, induction, and the wiring to run all of it. That means real electrical work in real San Francisco buildings — early-1900s wood-frame and brick, occupied units, finished walls, tight spaces. This is retrofit, not new construction: you're threading modern electrical into buildings that were never designed for it, and making it look like it was. You're either licensed or certified and know the trade cold — or you're not yet licensed but hold a valid ET card, have many field hours behind you, and already work at the level of someone who is. We are not hiring a trainee at this time. If you're unlicensed, you should carry yourself and perform on day one — and we'll help you log the hours toward getting your license. How this works The role is temporary to start. Week one is a paid trial so both sides can tell if it's a fit. If it is, you move into a three-month trial period. We need someone who works independently in the field, not someone who needs watching. The work you'll do Wiremold — not our most typical wiring method, but you should already know it since we have a large October project with wiremold Field-bent EMT. Fishing NM-B through finished walls and ceilings. Electrical services and subpanels. Circuits and tie-ins for HPWHs, heat pump HVAC, and induction ranges. Must-haves Real, hands-on experience with Wiremold and EMT, including field bending. Comfortable running NM-B and doing residential and light-commercial service work. Working CEC/NEC knowledge, and the habit of doing it to code because it's right, not because someone's watching. Shows up, works clean in occupied buildings, has your own hand tools. Either a C-10, journeyman, or DIR General Electrician certification — or, if not yet licensed, a valid ET card plus enough field experience to work at that level. Clean driver's license. Big pluses Any plumbing, carpentry, or drywall skills. We're a plumbing and mechanical contractor too, and in retrofit you open walls and then have to close them — ideally you can do minor patching. Spanish language skills. Pay Some of our projects are prevailing wage. On those you earn the full prevailing rate for your classification. That's why we're looking for well-trained, independent workers, licensed or not — the work has to hold up whether or not there's a card in your wallet.
