Job Description

Solar Technologies, a leading Bay Area solar contractor, is looking for a full time Commercial Solar Electrician. Must have journeyman certification and should have a strong work ethic, good attitude, professional appearance, ability to work on your own and be reliable. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating code compliant electrical work on commercial solar projects, installing and repairing wiring, electrical fixtures and control equipment, candidates must have a clean driving record, reliable transportation. Projects are located throughout the Bay Area. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Install electrical service equipment, wiring, and devices required for the installation of solar PV systems Install inverters, conduit/raceways, and electrical equipment as necessary Operation of equipment relevant to installation. I.e. Lifts, Bender, Threader, Puller, etc. Troubleshoot installation problems and be able to potential solutions. Photovoltaic AC side installation work Climbing ladders and working at elevated heights Complies with rules and regulations related to safety and other work-related policies and procedures of the, OSHA, NFPA, and NEC. Other duties as assigned Requirements (Education, Experience, Certifications, And Other Skills) Must possess a current and valid Journeyman License Certification. Minimum 4 years of electrical installation and repair experience. Minimum OSHA 10 (OSHA 30 preferred) Strong understanding of the importance of safety policy and procedures. Ability to read and interpret one line & CAD drawings. Knowledge of current NEC/CEC Understanding of wire and conduit sizing and how to adjust for environmental factors Experience in underground electrical installations.
