An Electrician works on electrical systems in buildings. Installs electrical wiring and lighting in new construction, and repairs or upgrade wiring, outlets or other parts of older electrical systems. Checks safety and makes installations or repairs that are in compliance with local building codes. May also specialize in electrical work required in different manufacturing industries, electrical systems for cars, plane or boats, or electrical and lighting work in the film industry.

Position Summary We're seeking an experienced Journeyman Electrician or (someone who is very close to completion of their Journeyman's licence) who can work independently and/or lead and train an apprentice, take ownership of projects, and provide exceptional service to our customers. This position requires someone who is equally comfortable managing a residential remodel from rough-in through final inspection as they are troubleshooting a difficult service call. The ideal candidate takes pride in their workmanship, communicates professionally with homeowners, and enjoys solving problems. Responsibilities Manage electrical installation for residential remodels from rough-in through finish Work with the team to install and replace electrical service panels Perform load calculations Install EV charging stations Troubleshoot residential and commercial electrical issues Diagnose and repair existing electrical systems Read blueprints and electrical plans Maintain compliance with NEC and local building codes Communicate with inspectors, homeowners, and other trades Provide customer estimates Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site Mentor apprentices and promote quality workmanship Qualifications California Journeyman Electrician Certification Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record 5+ years of residential electrical experience preferred Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Experience with: Residential remodels Service panel replacements and upgrades EV charger installations Service work Lighting and receptacle installations Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Ability to lead and train an apprentice Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work on ladders, attics, crawl spaces, and outdoors What We're Looking For Technical skills are only part of the equation.
