Job Description

Header Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed General Electrician to join our dynamic construction and maintenance team. This vital role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of electrical systems across commercial and industrial sites. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting, and installation, ensuring all work complies with NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association) standards, NEC (National Electrical Code), and local electrical codes. As a licensed professional, you will be instrumental in delivering safe, reliable electrical solutions that meet project specifications and safety protocols. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from new construction to renovation, utilizing your expertise in electrical blueprint reading, high-voltage wiring, and system troubleshooting to drive success. Responsibilities Install, repair, and maintain industrial and commercial electrical systems in accordance with NFPA 70, NEC, and local codes Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to execute precise installations Diagnose complex electrical issues using multimeters such as voltmeters and ohmmeters; perform troubleshooting on electrical systems Conduct high-voltage electrical wiring tasks safely while adhering to all electrical safety procedures Install and maintain low voltage systems including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), relays, sensors, and control panels Use hand tools and power tools effectively for wiring, conduit bending, and system assembly on construction sites or renovation projects Ensure all work complies with NFPA 70 compliance standards and local electrical codes while maintaining a strong focus on safety procedures Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently within deadlines Document all work performed accurately through detailed reports and update system schematics as needed Skills Extensive industrial electrician experience with a strong understanding of industrial electrical systems Proven commercial electrician experience handling diverse electrical projects in various environments Deep knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) standards for safe electrical installations Skilled in electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting electrical systems using voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other testing tools Proficient reading electrical blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams for accurate installation and repair Experience working with high-voltage wiring safely on construction or renovation sites Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low voltage control systems Strong understanding of local electrical codes and safety procedures for both industrial and commercial settings Ability to use hand tools such as wire strippers, pliers, screwdrivers as well as power tools like drills and conduit benders Knowledge of construction site safety practices including OSHA standards for electrical work Excellent troubleshooting skills for diagnosing complex issues within electrical systems Prior construction or renovation experience is preferred; handyman skills are a plus This role is perfect for licensed electricians eager to apply their expertise in a fast-paced environment that values safety, precision, and innovative problem-solving.
