Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Single Shift Operation.

$40-$48 per hour, depending on experience Position Overview United Surface Solutions manufactures industrial deburring machines and wastewater treatment systems. We are seeking a hands-on Electrical Controls Supervisor to lead and support our electrical assembly team. This is a working supervisor position—not a desk-only management role. The right person will organize daily electrical work, train and guide technicians, inspect workmanship, and personally assist with control-panel assembly, machine wiring, startup, and troubleshooting when needed. Our goal is to improve the speed, consistency, and quality of electrical work while developing the capabilities of our existing electrical technicians. Responsibilities Direct and prioritize daily work for electrical technicians Help technicians complete control-panel assembly and machine wiring Review electrical schematics and explain wiring requirements to the team Inspect panels and machine wiring for accuracy, workmanship, and completeness Troubleshoot electrical and controls-related problems during machine startup Work with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, relays, contactors, sensors, motors, and solenoid valves Verify I/O, device operation, motor rotation, safety circuits, and control sequences Identify missing information, parts, or drawing errors before they delay production Coordinate with engineering, mechanical assembly, purchasing, and production management Train technicians in proper wiring, testing, labeling, documentation, and troubleshooting practices Develop repeatable electrical assembly and inspection procedures Track progress and communicate problems, priorities, and completion dates Assist with electrical installation and troubleshooting during occasional customer-site service trips Maintain a safe, organized, and professional electrical work area Qualifications At least 5 years of industrial electrical, control-panel, or machine-wiring experience Previous experience leading, supervising, or training electrical technicians Strong ability to read and troubleshoot electrical schematics Experience building and wiring industrial control panels Experience troubleshooting automated machinery Working knowledge of PLC-controlled equipment, HMIs, VFDs, motor controls, sensors, relays, and safety circuits Able to use multimeters and other electrical test equipment safely Strong organizational and communication skills Able to provide clear direction while working collaboratively with technicians Comfortable working directly on the production floor Able to travel occasionally for machine installation or field service Valid driver's license Preferred Qualifications Experience manufacturing custom industrial machinery Ability to troubleshoot PLC logic and I/O Experience with UL 508A control-panel practices Familiarity with pneumatic systems and electro-pneumatic controls Experience improving wiring standards, inspection procedures, or production workflows Experience supporting machine startup and commissioning What Success Looks Like Electrical technicians have clear daily priorities Machine wiring is completed accurately and on schedule Electrical problems are identified earlier and resolved faster Panels and machines follow consistent wiring and labeling standards Technicians become more capable and independent over time Engineering and production receive clear updates on progress and obstacles This position is ideal for an experienced industrial controls professional who enjoys both leading people and working directly with machinery.
Pay:
$40.00 - $48.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
