The project is expected to last approximately 3-4 months, with opportunities for continued employment on future projects based on performance and business needs. Duties and Responsibilities Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and modify commercial electrical systems and equipment. Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, schematics, and project specifications. Install conduit, raceways, wiring, panels, lighting, and electrical equipment. Measure, bend, install, and secure conduit, and pull conductors according to project requirements. Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment to ensure proper operation. Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC), OSHA regulations, applicable California codes, and project specifications. Coordinate with supervisors, contractors, inspectors, and other trades to complete projects safely, efficiently, and on schedule. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all company safety policies. Mentor apprentices and assist with training as needed. Safely operate hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, lifts, and other job-site equipment. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of commercial or industrial electrical experience performing journey-level work. Proficiency in the installation, troubleshooting, and testing of commercial electrical systems and equipment. Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), applicable California codes, industry standards, and safe work practices. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Strong communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines. Availability to work on weekdays, evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed. California General Electrician Certification preferred. Candidates must meet all applicable certification and licensing requirements for the work performed. Physical Demands This position requires working outdoors and indoors in varying weather conditions throughout the year. Employees must be able to work 8 or more hours per day and 40 or more hours per week, with overtime as required. This is a physical job (more than 70% of the job) and requires repetitive walking, standing, kneeling, crouching, sitting, stooping, bending, and reaching. Employees must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 100 lbs. A firm grip and repetitive use of the hands and fingers is required. The position also requires working at heights using ladders and scissor lifts.
