JOURNEYMAN ELECTRICIAN - COMMERCIAL
Ventura, CA | $35-$55/hr DOE | Full-Time Commercial Journeyman Electrician (Ventura County) Set the Standard. Build the Legacy. At Infinity Electric, we don't just wire buildings we build trust. We're a Ventura based electrical contractor with over 22 years of proven performance, delivering a full spectrum of commercial work including tenant improvements, ground-up builds, remodels, service work, warehouses, cold-storage facilities, parking structure lighting, and more. As of April 2025, Infinity Electric entered a new phase: fresh operational leadership and partial employee ownership. We're investing in better systems, better tools, clearer pay scales, and real growth paths so great electricians can build careers and a future. We're hiring a skilled, motivated Commercial Journeyman Electrician who takes pride in clean, code-compliant work, can operate independently, and understands that communication, safety, and craftsmanship matter as much as speed. What You'll Do Install, maintain, and troubleshoot commercial electrical systems Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications Lay out, run, bend, and install conduit (EMT, Rigid, IMC) — including complex routing in ceilings, walls, and underground Perform advanced conduit bending: offsets, 3-point saddles, 4-point saddles, kicks, parallel runs, rack systems Thread rigid conduit and install supports per code (proper spacing, alignment, inspection-ready workmanship) Pull wire and perform terminations for panels, transformers, switchgear, disconnects, and equipment Execute wire pulls including large feeders and proper use of tugging equipment Install commercial lighting systems, LED fixtures/drivers, lighting controls, and low-voltage systems as needed Coordinate with other trades to keep projects moving and job sites running smoothly Maintain strong safety practices and deliver clean, inspection-ready work Troubleshoot circuits and identify issues in both new installations and existing systems Work at heights and safely operate scissor/boom lifts when required Keep job sites clean, organized, and professional — representing the Infinity Electric standard (Optional/Preferred) Lead portions of a project or support small crews when needed What We're Looking For (Commercial Experience) Proven hands-on experience on active commercial job sites (TI, ground-up, remodels, or service) Ability to work independently and execute conduit runs from plans to install Strong understanding of NEC requirements and job site safety standards High-quality craftsmanship with a focus on clean installs, professionalism, and strong communication Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented with a drive to grow Requirements Proven commercial electrical experience Strong working knowledge of NEC and job site safety standards Ability to work independently and as part of a team Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Preferred Qualifications Journeyman certification (or equivalent experience) Experience leading small crews or owning scopes of work Why Infinity Electric You'll work alongside professionals other contractors call when the job gets tough.
