Job Summary:
Hawk Contracting Group is currently seeking qualified applicants for an Journeyman Electrician position based in Grand Junction, CO. This position will be responsible for monitoring new Electrical construction and renovations in VA Medical Facilities. The Electrician is responsible for ensuring work is performed according to company standards and the project specifications. Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in accordance with local and national electrical codes. Inspect electrical components, identify issues, and troubleshoot malfunctions. Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and specifications to determine the layout of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other team members to ensure the successful completion of projects. Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems to ensure longevity and prevent breakdowns. Test electrical systems and components using tools and equipment to ensure proper functionality. Follow safety protocols and adhere to all relevant regulations to maintain a secure working environment. Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on projects. Maintain a clean, well-organized, and safe jobsite always. Qualifications Must hold a current and valid State of Colorado journeyman electrician license. Proven experience as an electrician in a similar role. At least 3-4 years as an experienced Electrician. Thorough knowledge of electrical systems, components, and wiring methods. Excellent organization and communication skills (verbal and written), time and cost management skills. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment, maintain a professional demeanor, and demonstrate leadership and project success. Ability to work in fast paced environment, ability to read and interpret plans and specifications. Dependable and self-motivated. Ability to document and communicate project progress clearly and concisely. Physical capabilities to work in the field under various conditions and overall awareness of your surroundings.
