What they do
An Electrician works on electrical systems in buildings. Installs electrical wiring and lighting in new construction, and repairs or upgrade wiring, outlets or other parts of older electrical systems. Checks safety and makes installations or repairs that are in compliance with local building codes. May also specialize in electrical work required in different manufacturing industries, electrical systems for cars, plane or boats, or electrical and lighting work in the film industry.

Job Description
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Clearance Required:
TS/SCI High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a formal apprenticeship program or equivalent training and experience. Proven experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical manuals. Proficiency in using electrical hand tools, testing instruments, and measuring devices. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards. Effective communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Current TS/SCI preferred, must possess minimum TS Clearance with ability to obtainSCI Preferred Qualifications:
Certification as a Journeyman Electrician or relevant professional certification. Experience with industrial or commercial electrical systems. Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
