Utilities Operator - 2nd Shift Veteran Staffing Network - 3.6 Hobe Sound, FL Job Details Full-time $21 - $26 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Safe work practices Military Moving Fire codes and regulations Driver's License Plumbing Construction experience Full Job Description Seeking a US Veteran, Guardsman, Reservist, and/or Military Spouse for a Utilities Operator. The Utilities Operator will support the demands of plant operations which include maintaining, installing, altering, and repairing all building related plant, mechanical, HVAC, electrical, water technology, and building maintenance systems.
Pay:
$22.00-$26.00/hour
Schedule:
3:30 p.m. - 12 a.m. Must be available on holidays, weekends, and emergency responses as the property is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Essential Duties and Accountabilities:
Maintain cooling towers, chillers, pumps, motors, motor control centers, transformers, switch gear, wiring, receptacles, lighting, and fire alarm systems. Inspect building operations systems; respond to emergency calls for equipment failures; work with building management system (BMS), fire alarm, and equipment monitoring technologies. Analyze and take corrective steps to repair or replace equipment as needed, including coordination of building systems and user interruption shutdowns. Work with Facilities Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) Software. Conduct building operation checks and perform daily building rounds. Respond to alarms, addressing leaks, checking equipment, moving, and changing gas cylinders. Work with building management system (BMS), fire alarm, and equipment monitoring technologies. Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and reporting on building equipment, changing gas cylinders and responding to alarms. Additional time for any function as needed and to assist with any facilities tasks. Moving and loading salt for building water softeners. Ordering parts and maintaining inventory. Checking and clearing roadways of debris. Sending reports and updating the pass-on log sheets.
Requirements:
US Veteran, Guardsman, Reservist, and/or Military Spouse preferred A minimum of two (2) years of experience with maintaining, repairing and installing mechanical systems or trade/vocational school certification and six (6) months of related experience is preferred. Knowledge of plant operations, building and fire codes, building construction techniques, materials applications, proper use of tools, and safe work practices and techniques. Previous mechanical repair and maintenance experience preferred. Previous trade experience (1 or more) in plumbing, electrical, pipefitting, HVAC, etc. is preferred. Excellent interpersonal communication and written skills, and the ability to evaluate mechanical and electrical systems.
