Job Description
Your Impact:
Pearce Services is seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Journeyman to join our growing team. This role supports a wide range of projects including commercial construction, infrastructure upgrades, EV charging installations, and mission-critical power systems (UPS, generators, and data centers). The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently or leading small crews while maintaining high safety and quality standards.Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments
- Read and interpret one-line diagrams, blueprints, and specifications
- Install conduit, wiring, panels, switchgear, and equipment
- Support installation and commissioning of UPS systems, generators, and EV charging stations
- Perform electrical testing, startup, and system verification
- Ensure compliance with NEC codes, safety standards, and company procedures
- Coordinate with project managers, supervisors, and other trades
- Mentor apprentices and support workforce development
Qualifications:
- Valid Journeyman Electrician License (state-specific or ability to reciprocate)
- 5+ years of commercial or industrial electrical experience
- Experience with critical power systems, data centers, or EV infrastructure preferred
- Strong understanding of NEC and electrical safety practices
- Ability to read drawings and perform layout independently
- Proficient with electrical tools, testing equipment, and installation practices
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel regionally
Preferred Experience:
- UPS systems (installation, maintenance, or startup)
- Generator systems and transfer switches
- EV charging infrastructure installation
