Per Hour BOE Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical issues within commercial and industrial systems. Install, bend, and route conduit to accommodate wiring for new installations or upgrades. Pull electrical wiring through conduit and connect it to circuit breakers, transformers, and outlets. Perform routine maintenance and inspections on electrical panels, lighting fixtures, and switches. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams for service projects. Test electrical systems and circuit continuity using various meters and diagnostic tools. Ensure all electrical work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local safety regulations. Document all work performed and maintain accurate records of materials used on service calls. Collaborate with facility managers or project leads to resolve electrical system failures promptly.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as an electrician, preferably with a background in service and maintenance. Strong working knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) standards and safety protocols. Possession of necessary hand tools and personal protective equipment (PPE) required for electrical work. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively across multiple service locations. Proficiency in reading blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications. Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license for travel to various job sites in the Lakeland area. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical staff.
Physical Requirements:
Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination. Must be able to climb stairs, ladders, and poles to access electrical components. Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits and tight spaces. Must be able to work in various environments, including inclement weather and industrial settings. Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring accurately. Must be aware of and strictly adhere to OSHA safety standards. Must be able to sit, stand, kneel, stoop, and walk for long periods of time. Must be physically capable of lifting and carrying equipment up to 80 lbs.
Pay Transparency:
The anticipated pay range for this position is $20 to $35 per hour, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
