Job Description

The Rough Crew Lead is responsible for the installation of rough wiring for new construction homes, this includes laying out lines, mounting junction boxes, pulling wiring, and setting up the electrical panel, grounding and overhead service wire. •
THIS IS A PIECE RATE POSITION. NOT HOURLY
Duties/Responsibilities:
Responsible for installing rough wiring for new construction homes in a neat and workmanlike manner. Must ensure that the rough electrical installation is done to NEC code and all application county/state codes. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Must have electrical knowledge for rough wiring of homes. Must be able to read electrical prints, scale prints, and measurements. Must have knowledge of wiring procedure per NEC Code. Must have specialty tool use knowledge - i.e. Wood Auger Drill, Generator, Boring Drill, Chipping Hammer. Must be able to pull wire through the entire home.
Education and Experience:
New home rough wiring experience is required. Must have knowledge of electrical safety. (Lock Out Tag Out)
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds at times. Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, bending, pulling, pushing, crouching, grasping, and climbing ladders. Must have a clean driving record. Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits. Must be able to work in confined spaces. Must be able to use hand and power tools for extended periods of time. Must be able to work in all outdoor/indoor elements - i.e. heat, rain, dirt, etc. Must have a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record. Must be able to sit and drive for extended periods of time to reach service locations. Ability to safely operate company van in various weather and road conditions.
