Position Summary:
The position requires technical work in the installation, repair and maintenance of electrical construction, as well as electrical knowledge, in commercial applications. Must be willing to work indoors and out, may have to bend over often, lift heavy objects, stoop, stand, or kneel for long periods of time. Must have manual dexterity and eye-to-hand coordination. Must also have a sense of balance to work in tight spaces and on ladders. Candidates must have teaching leadership skills, complete tasks, communicate with the foreman or superintendent, and perform the following duties. Duties include but not limited to: Ability to undergo inspections based on NEC knowledge Organize tools and be familiar with their names. Keep materials and supplies in order. Knowledgeable of proper usage of hand and power tools. Use and read tape measure. Measure, cut, and bend conduit with pipe bender or hydraulic bender. Thread conduit ends, connect couplings and male adapters, and strap conduit using hand tools. Able to assist in wire pulls. Strip insulation from wire ends, using wire stripping pliers, and attach wires to terminals. Install electrical fixtures and/or components. Terminate and install receptacles and switches. Able to carry out given tasks in a timely manner. Properly use clamp-on Amp meter. Organize work relative to job duties. Able to run branch circuits the most cost-efficient way. Capable of organizing wire pulls. Able to read and follow blueprints. Troubleshoot circuits. Able to follow instructions given by foreman or superintendent. Comply and adhere to OSHA safety regulations.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED 5 years of electrical work experience Must be 18 or older due to hazardous occupation Must have a Journeyman License due to nature of job Must have a valid driver's license for required travel Employer conducts drug screening, background check and reference check
Responsibilities:
Duties include, but are not limited to the following, and additional tasks may be assigned: Use communication skills Measure, cut, assemble and install conduit Climb and maneuver on ladders, lifts and/or tight places Perform troubleshooting, termination and testing of cabling Set up new telecommunications frames and structured cabling Responsible for running new cabling in new or existing buildings Must be knowledgeable in various wiring configurations and terminations Pull various types of cable and install related structure cable components Must work with little supervision individually and in a team environment Use construction drawings and schematic diagrams to move or install new data infrastructure Operate a variety of equipment and tools including testing equipment, hand tools and power tools
Work Schedule :
Full time/ 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, Day shift.
Hourly Salary:
