Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Maintenance Overnight technician to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities during nighttime hours. In this vital role, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting tasks to keep our building systems, equipment, and interior spaces in optimal condition. Your proactive approach will help create a safe, comfortable, and efficient environment for staff and visitors alike. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills in a dynamic setting while working overnight shifts that support our 24/7 operations. Responsibilities Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, electrical equipment, plumbing, and building interior components to ensure operational efficiency. Perform repairs on electrical systems using schematics, wiring diagrams, and tools such as ohmmeters to diagnose issues accurately. Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to troubleshoot and maintain automated building systems. Carry out welding, carpentry, painting, and other mechanical tasks to repair or enhance facility infrastructure. Maintain facilities equipment including HVAC units, plumbing systems, electrical panels, and other mechanical devices with precision. Use hand tools and electrical equipment to complete maintenance tasks efficiently while adhering to safety standards. Supervise or assist with maintenance projects, ensuring timely completion and quality workmanship. Follow detailed schematics and technical manuals for complex repairs or installations. Ensure compliance with safety protocols during all maintenance activities and document work performed accurately. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in facilities maintenance and repair operations (MRO). Proficiency in electrical work including troubleshooting electrical equipment and repairing electrical systems. Experience with HVAC system repair, building interior maintenance, plumbing system maintenance and repair. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, schematics reading skills, and testing instruments such as ohmmeters effectively. Knowledge of plumbing fixtures, piping systems, carpentry techniques, painting (including residential painting), and general facilities upkeep. Supervising experience or leadership skills that support team coordination during shift operations. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly in English both verbally and in writing. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), HVAC controls, electrical equipment repair, schematics interpretation, and building systems troubleshooting. Experience working with maintenance software or documentation systems is a plus.
