Job Description

Overview ASF is seeking a motivated, experienced and skilled Automation Electrician to join our dynamic team in Pendergrass, GA. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems within an industrial manufacturing environment. Your expertise will ensure the safe and efficient operation of electrical equipment, machinery, and control systems. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from new installations to renovations, while adhering to strict safety standards and electrical codes. Description Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing equipment and systems that combine mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and computerized controls. Primary Job Functions Install, maintain, and repair production equipment and systems. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control system failures. Program, monitor, and maintain PLCs, HMIs, sensors, drives, and other equipment. Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on manufacturing equipment. Diagnose faults using electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and diagnostic software. Calibrate sensors, actuators, instrumentation, and control devices. Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase equipment reliability and efficiency. Assist with equipment upgrades, automation projects, and new machinery installations. Maintain maintenance records, repair logs, and technical documentation. Follow plant safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and electrical safety standards. Collaborate with engineers, electricians, maintenance technicians, and production personnel. Required Skills Technical and Mechanical Aptitude; understanding extrusion and spinning equipment and processing system(s) relationships Attention to detail; high level of accuracy and organization Good communication skills, verbal and written Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems. Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting. Understanding of industrial automation. Ability to read electrical schematics, P&IDs, and mechanical drawings. Knowledge of VFDs, servo motors, sensors, and industrial networks. Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills. Familiarity with pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Proficiency with test equipment such as multimeters and calibration tools. Desired Skills
  • Experience with PLC platforms such as Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or Other
  • Industrial maintenance or manufacturing experience preferred.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills Education Associate's degree or diploma in Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, Electrical Technology, or a related field or 5 Years of applicable work experience in related field
