$26.00 - 30.50 per hourThe Maintenance Technician - Electrician performs a wide range of critical tasks related to the installation, repair, and modification of electrical systems and equipment within the manufacturing facility. This role focuses on the generation, distribution, and utilization of electrical energy to support safe and efficient plant operations.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Safety & ComplianceDemonstrates thorough knowledge of safety protocols when working around hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systemsMaintains compliance with NFPA 70E, NEC, and applicable OSHA standardsShows consistent commitment to electrical safety, especially in high-pressure situationsTechnical Expertise & TroubleshootingDiagnoses and resolves issues in electrical systems and equipment using standard load computations and testing proceduresUtilizes electrician's hand tools, measuring instruments, and diagnostic equipment effectivelyPerforms visual and mechanical inspections to ensure machinery remains in optimal condition for quality productionTroubleshoots and repairs medium voltage systems (480 VAC / 750 VDC)Maintains and tests transformers, motor control centers (MCCs), and electrical area classificationsPreventive & Corrective MaintenanceFollows the company's preventive maintenance program, conducting regular inspections and taking proactive measuresPerforms both minor and major building repairs to maintain facility integritySupports continuous improvement initiatives within the work areaSystems Knowledge & Equipment HandlingExperienced with pneumatic and hydraulic systemsSkilled in mechanical systems maintenance and repairProficient in working with:Three-phase motorsDC motors and motor controlsServo motors and controlsProgrammable Logic Controllers (PLCs)Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs)Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs - AC/DC)Analog circuits (0-10 VDC, 4-20 mA)Communication protocols (Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, etc.)Documentation & InterpretationReads and interprets electrical diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals with precisionLeadership & CollaborationProvides on-the-job guidance to new maintenance personnel and those assisting with maintenance tasksMay be assigned additional duties or special projects by the Team LeaderQualificationsHigh School Diploma or recognized equivalent. Minimum of (3) five years related work experience in a maintenance mechanic function, or equivalent related experience.
