Electrician Position Summary:
Responsible for performing routine and complex inspection, maintenance, repair, alteration and installation of hospital electrical systems equipment, fixtures and appliances in compliance with local, state and national codes.Responsibilities:
Performs maintenance service and repairs in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, machine servicing, electrical, or vehicle servicing Is knowledgeable in the procedures and safety measures in area(s) of specialty Performs a variety of complicated tasks Performs other related duties as assigned Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assignedRequirements and Minimum Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited training school in electrical; work experience pathway or reciprocity pathway for license in the State of Idaho may be accepted in lieu of graduate requirement Must be able to read blue prints, equipment schematics and wiring diagrams Idaho state electrical license requiredWorking Conditions:
Must be able to maintain a standing and/or sitting position Typical equipment used in a clinical job Exposure to small, confined and/or dark spaces, elevated temperatures and outside weather conditions. Exposure to noise, electrical shock, mechanical hazards, fumes, burns, hazardous chemicals and infectious wastes. Must be able to utilize all personal protective equipment. Moves about facility, with stooping, bending, reaching and lifting object over 75 pounds. Pushes heavy equipment and carts. Climbs ladders, balances, kneels, and crouches to make repairs. Must be safety conscious and aware of hazards such as cleaning solutions, needles, glass, and faulty equipment to prevent injury to self, patients, visitors and staff.
