Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Make Ready Technician to join our dynamic facilities maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing residential units for new occupants by performing a wide range of repair, maintenance, and cosmetic tasks. Duties Perform comprehensive make-ready tasks including painting, drywall repair, carpentry, and flooring to prepare units for occupancy Conduct electrical work such as troubleshooting electrical issues, replacing fixtures, and repairing electrical equipment using schematics and electrical testing tools like ohmmeters Maintain plumbing systems by repairing leaks, clearing clogs, and replacing fixtures to ensure optimal operation Repair HVAC systems by diagnosing issues, replacing parts, and performing routine maintenance to guarantee efficient climate control Utilize hand tools and power tools to complete repairs accurately and efficiently while adhering to safety protocols Conduct facilities equipment maintenance including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and building interior elements Follow detailed schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical problems effectively Maintain accurate records of repairs performed and parts used; ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with residents about repair timelines and resolving issues promptly Requirements Proven experience in maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO), with a strong focus on residential or facilities maintenance Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, electrical work, plumbing systems, HVAC systems, and building interior maintenance Skilled in welding, carpentry, painting (including maintenance painting), and the use of hand tools and electrical equipment repair tools such as ohmmeters Mechanical knowledge combined with experience in electrical equipment repair and HVAC system troubleshooting Ability to read technical schematics and understand mechanical drawings for efficient repairs Strong communication skills in English; able to follow instructions clearly and document work accurately Leadership qualities with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Valid experience with plumbing system maintenance and repair; familiarity with residential painting is a plus Knowledge of facilities equipment maintenance including HVAC systems; experience with building interior maintenance is preferred Join us as a Make Ready Technician if you're passionate about maintaining high standards of quality through your technical expertise!
