Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of electrical systems across commercial settings. Your expertise will ensure all electrical work complies with safety standards and local electrical codes, contributing to the safe and efficient operation of our facilities. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from new construction to renovation, utilizing your technical skills and hands-on experience to deliver high-quality electrical solutions. Responsibilities Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair residential & commercial electrical systems, ensuring adherence to NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) standards. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring and system layouts. Perform high-voltage electrical wiring tasks safely on construction sites or renovation projects. Use hand tools, power tools, voltmeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters to diagnose electrical issues efficiently. Conduct electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting to identify faults within complex electrical systems, including low voltage systems. Follow electrical safety procedures rigorously while working on high-voltage equipment or during system upgrades. Collaborate with teams and project managers to ensure timely completion of electrical installations in accordance with project specifications. Requirements Valid Journeyman certification recognized by local authorities. Extensive knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC (National Electrical Code), and local electrical codes. Experience reading electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams accurately. Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical systems using voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools. Hands-on experience with high-voltage wiring and low-voltage systems in construction or renovation environments. Ability to work safely following all electrical safety procedures; experience with high-voltage electrical wiring is preferred. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to perform detailed diagnostics on complex electrical equipment.
