Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in both commercial and residential electrical work, demonstrating proficiency in reading blueprints and using various hand and power tools. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively on construction sites. Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in residential settings. Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in commercial settings, such as panels, kitchen hoods, pipe bending, etc. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical systems. Utilize hand tools and power tools to complete tasks efficiently and safely. Conduct tests using voltmeters and ammeters to ensure proper functioning of electrical systems. Troubleshoot electrical issues, including high voltage problems, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure timely project completion. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to all safety regulations. Skills The ideal candidate will have: A Chicago Suburbs Electrician's License (preferred but not required) Proven experience as a Commercial Electrician and Residential Electrician. 5+years in residential electrical work. 3+ years in commercial electrical work. Proficient in using hand tools and power tools relevant to electrical work. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including high voltage applications. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately. Familiarity with testing equipment such as voltmeters and ammeters. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration on construction sites. Proficiency in English speaking is required.
