at Tradesman International in Schaumburg, Illinois, United States Job Description We are seeking skilled Electricians to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment in industrial and commercial facilities in the Chicagoland area (Chicago proper and throughout the North, West, and South suburbs) . The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Scope of Work:
Install, wire, test, and maintain electrical systems Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, drawings, and specifications Bend and connect conduit, raceways, cable tray, wiring, panels, switchgear, transformers, and other electrical equipment Troubleshoot electrical circuits, motors, controls, and equipment using appropriate testing instruments Perform preventive maintenance and electrical repairs to minimize equipment downtime Install and troubleshoot lighting, power distribution, motor controls, and control systems Verify installations comply with applicable electrical codes, safety standards, and project specifications Identify electrical hazards and take appropriate corrective action Perform other electrical duties as assigned
Requirements:
Industrial electrical experience preferred Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local requirements Ability to read electrical plans, blueprints, and schematics Proficiency with common electrical hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying environmental conditions Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver electrical materials and equipment as required Ability to commute to different job sites may be required (locally), in addition to a bend/electrical test Ability to work some overtime hours may be required To view full details and how to apply, please login or create a Job Seeker account
