Job Title:
Electrician Job Description The Electrician will be responsible for planning, supervising, and performing all phases of installation, maintenance, repair, and inspection of electrical systems within industrial facilities. This role also involves ensuring that the helper is set up for the day and working safely. Responsibilities Install rigid conduit from 1/2'' to 4''. Run 50,000 feet of wire and secure it every 2 feet in compliance with GMP guidelines. Pull wire and bend conduit to a 45-degree angle. Follow and assist the lead electrician. Perform minor mechanical repairs and fixture installations. Essential Skills Proficiency in electrical work, conduit installation, and wiring. 5+ years of experience as an Electrician in commercial or industrial settings. Experience in troubleshooting, industrial and commercial environments, and construction. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics. Additional Skills & Qualifications Journeyman status. Possession of hand tools, pouches, benders, and cordless power tools. Personal Protective Equipment including a hard hat, safety glasses, and work boots. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work is primarily conducted within industrial and commercial facilities located in the south side of Chicago and NW Indiana. Conditions may vary, with some environments being cold or hot. The position requires working hours from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Schaumburg, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
