Pay:

$25.00 - $29.00 per hour Job description: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Commercial Electrician with five years experience at the Journeyman level to join our dynamic team. We are working on large commercial projects in New Orleans, Metairie, Westbank, and Slidell. There will be plenty of overtime available. 50 to 60 hour work week. We are hiring immediately with weekly pay and free parking. Responsibilities Install, modify, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems for commercial buildings and industrial facilities using hand tools, power tools, and specialized testing equipment such as ohmmeters. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, electrical diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately execute installation plans. Ensure all work complies with NEC standards and local electrical codes to maintain safety and regulatory adherence. Use diagnostic tools to identify faults in electrical circuits or equipment; perform repairs efficiently while documenting work performed. Experience Proven experience as a commercial electrician at the Journeyman level with a minimum of five years working on construction sites. Demonstrated knowledge of NEC standards, schematics reading, blueprint interpretation, and electrical code compliance. Hands-on experience with high voltage (HV) and low voltage (LV) electrical systems across various project types including renovations and new constructions. Skilled in using hand tools (e.g., screwdrivers, pliers), power tools (e.g., drills, saws), ohmmeters for testing continuity/resistance, and other diagnostic equipment.
