This position requires advanced technical knowledge and hands-on experience maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and testing baggage handling systems and their associated components in a fast-paced airport environment. Responsibilities Perform maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and testing of the Baggage Handling System (BHS) and associated equipment. Provide accurate and timely written reports related to safety, operational, and maintenance activities. Interpret equipment and operational data and recommend maintenance schedule or activity adjustments to management. Update and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance activity schedules. Order and maintain an inventory of spare parts necessary for effective BHS operation. Ensure all Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) procedures are scheduled, completed, and documented. Maintain compliance with all company, airport, and regulatory safety requirements. Assist in identifying opportunities to improve equipment reliability and operational efficiency. Physical Requirements Candidates must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, including but not limited to: Lifting 50 to 100 pounds Bending, reaching, crawling, and climbing Walking and standing for extended periods Climbing ladders and stairs Sitting as required for documentation and reporting Speaking, hearing, and visual acuity necessary to safely perform job duties Required Skills & Education Experience & Education Five (5) or more years of relevant industrial maintenance experience High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required Technical Skills Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills Mechanical troubleshooting experience including: Belts Bearings Pulleys Drives Gearmotors Industrial electrical troubleshooting experience including: 480V three-phase motors and control circuits Electrical schematic reading and interpretation Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) Motor starters Input/Output systems Working knowledge of PLC systems and operations preferred Familiarity with: SCADA systems Industrial network architecture Servers Ethernet and fiber optic networks Managed network switches Workstations Barcode scanning systems Experience utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for: Preventive maintenance Corrective maintenance Scheduling Inventory management Work order documentation Additional Qualifications Excellent customer service and communication skills Basic supervisory and leadership skills involving scheduling, organization, communication, and computer systems Ability to adhere to all safety regulations and safe work practices Valid driver's license with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) Ability to pass all airport-required background checks, security screenings, and TSA-related clearances Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and not require current or future sponsorship for employment Why Join Vanderlande?Competitive Compensation Starting pay rate:
