Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrician Helper to join our dynamic electrical team. In this role, you will assist licensed electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various construction sites and facilities. Your enthusiasm and willingness to learn will contribute significantly to the successful completion of electrical projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and adherence to industry standards. Duties Support licensed electricians by preparing work areas, including setting up ladders, scaffolding, and tools needed for electrical tasks. Assist with electrical wiring, conduit bending, and electrical system installation according to blueprints and schematics. Use hand tools and power tools safely to perform tasks such as cutting, stripping, and connecting wires. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to aid in accurate installation and troubleshooting. Help with the installation of low voltage and high voltage electrical systems in commercial or industrial settings. Follow all electrical safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe work environment on construction sites. Support the testing of electrical circuits using tools like ohmmeters and multimeters to ensure proper functionality. Qualifications Prior experience working with industrial or commercial electricians. Electrical knowledge Knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association code for electrical safety) compliance standards. Familiarity with reading electrical blueprints, schematics, and interpreting technical diagrams. Ability to operate hand tools such as pliers, screwdrivers, wire strippers, along with power tools like drills and saws safely. Experience with conduit bending, electrical wiring, and installing electrical systems is a plus. Understanding of electrical safety procedures including lockout/tagout practices. Basic knowledge of low voltage systems as well as high voltage applications is desirable. Ability to use testing equipment such as ohmmeters for circuit testing and troubleshooting. Construction site experience demonstrating adaptability in fast-paced environments. Strong commitment to safety protocol adherence and quality workmanship throughout all tasks.
